We are seeking a Senior Algorithm Engineer to develop next-generation computational imaging, image processing, and AI algorithms for advanced semiconductor inspection and metrology systems. This role offers the opportunity to solve challenging problems at the intersection of computer vision, machine learning, optics, and high-performance computing, enabling the manufacturing of the world's most advanced semiconductor devices.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across systems engineering, optics, software, sensors, and hardware to transform innovative research into robust production-ready solutions that improve inspection accuracy, throughput, and manufacturing yield.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize advanced algorithms for image modeling, image processing, defect detection, and computational imaging.
- Lead algorithm development from concept definition and requirements gathering through prototyping, validation, optimization, and production deployment.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify technical bottlenecks and optimize algorithm accuracy, scalability, and computational performance.
- Develop mathematical models for advanced optical and electron-beam imaging systems.
- Collaborate with optics, systems, sensor, hardware, and software engineering teams to co-optimize complete inspection system performance.
- Apply machine learning and deep learning techniques to improve defect classification, pattern recognition, and image analysis.
- Optimize algorithms for High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments and GPU accelerated platforms.
- Develop and maintain production-quality software using modern C++ and object-oriented programming methodologies.
- Support deployment of algorithmic solutions at customer sites by working closely with field engineering teams, including occasional international travel.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical innovation across the organization.
Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 6+ years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and industry experience) developing algorithms for advanced imaging systems.
